HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR OWN FUNDRAISING

Step 1

Outline your project

  1. Define the nature of the event (sporting event, artistic, cultural…)
  2. Determine your target audience.
  3. Set a financial target.
  4. Create a committee of dedicated people with a variety of talents.
  5. Refine your formula, set the date, time and location of the event.
Step 2

Submit your project

  1. Fill in our online submission form (as soon as possible so that our committee can review your project).
  2. If your proposal is accepted, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
Step 3

Make some noise

To ensure your success, publicize your event on social media and encourage your friends and acquaintances to take part.

Need a logo, a banner, some documentation to give to your guests? We’ll be at your side every step of the way to support you in all your event needs.

Step 4

Make your donation

Once you have completed your fundraiser, send the funds to Youth in Mind Foundation within a maximum of 45 days. In accordance with provincial and federal laws, we will then send you a tax receipt.

Step 5

Show some love

Remember to thank all the wonderful people who have helped you with your project: volunteers, sponsors and participants. That’s how you’ll inspire them to make a lasting commitment to your cause. For example, you could write a thank-you letter, mentioning the amount raised and highlighting how everyone’s participation contributed to the event’s success.

    How will you use the funds?

    You give us the chance to:
    Educate our young people through our mental health workshops
    Equip teachers and parents to build a caring community
    Expand our reach and ensure the Foundation’s sustainability

    Will the Fondation Jeunes en Tête promote my event?

    Yes, of course! We’ll be sharing your event on our social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter). Depending on the publication schedule, we can’t guarantee a date, but don’t worry, we’ll share your event.

    To make sure we don’t miss you on social networks, please tag us on your publications @fondationjeunesentete

    Will the Fondation Jeunes en Tête be present at my event?

    Depending on availability, a representative may be present at the event.

    Will I receive a tax receipt?

    We are a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. This means we can issue a tax receipt for your personal donation of minimum $20, entitling you to a non-refundable tax credit.

    When will my donors receive their tax receipts?

    When a minimum donation of $20 is made on your online donation form, the donor will receive a tax receipt by e-mail.

    We teach young people to :

    –  Maintain a good mental health.

    – Express themselves when they are in distress.

    – Recognize depression and seek help.
